To mark a major milestone on the road to the LA 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games, LA28 launched a citywide digital countdown across Inglewood, activating WOW’s most visible spectaculars from January 7 – January 14. The campaign spanned WOW 1, 6, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, WOW A, and WOW B, creating a unified message across the city at a pivotal moment in the Olympic journey. Designed to build anticipation and urgency, the creative counted down day by day — alerting audiences when registration would open for the LA28 ticket draw, and reminding Angelenos that the Games may be four years away, but the moment to act is now.

LA28’s creative brought “Olympic Sized Moments” to life by placing elite athletes and iconic venues front and center, turning WOW’s full-motion spectaculars into a living preview of what’s to come. Positioned across multiple WOW locations, the campaign surrounded commuters, residents, and visitors with a synchronized reminder that Los Angeles is preparing to welcome the world. 

WOW 15, WOW 16, and WOW 18 delivered well beyond contracted expectations, while WOW A and WOW B amplified reach across key corridors. By the end of the one-week flight, the activation generated over 7.12 million delivered impressions and more than 120,000 spots — a countdown not just measured in days, but in impact.

By transforming a simple countdown into a citywide moment, LA28 didn’t just promote ticket registration — it marked the official start of a multi-year journey toward 2028. A declaration that the world’s biggest stage is coming, and the countdown has already begun.
